Play free Chain Reaction against computer opponents or friends on one device. Place orbs, trigger cascades, and capture the board.

How to play Chain Reaction

1. Two to four players take turns placing an orb in an empty cell or a cell they own.
2. A corner explodes at 2 orbs, an edge at 3, and an interior cell at 4. One orb goes to each neighbor and captures its owner. Explosions can cascade.
3. Elimination begins after everyone has placed an orb. Players with no remaining orbs are skipped. The last owner wins, including during a cascade.
4. The board is 6 × 8. The app calculates each complete cascade before allowing another move.

Choose computer opponents or pass and play with friends on the same device. Progress is saved locally in your browser. You can resume games, start again, and read the rules while playing.

Can I play offline?

Yes. Open the game collection while connected first so it can save its offline files. Continue in the same browser and device. Clearing browser storage removes local saves. The rules page is also available in the offline cache.
